Tell the County Planning Board to vote "NO" to the proposed ordinance changes (Ord #2026-29 for CPA25-003 and Ord #2026-30 for ZMA25-0024) on June 4th

Click the button below to voice your opinion on the proposed rezoning of the corner of Bella Citta Blvd and S Goodman from low density residential to medium density commercial, regardless of whether or not you plan to attend the planning meeting in person on Thursday, June 4th @ 6:00PM
The form says "Request to Speak" but it includes the ability to leave comments. Comments must be received by Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:00PM to be entered into the record.
Feel free to use some of our questions/comments below as your talking points:
1. In the original development of Reunion, once the buildout reached a certain level, the Bella Citta extension was to be completed. That threshold has been far exceeded. There have been several hearings about this and even three possible paths for the road presented to the committee. We haven't heard any updates in months. What was decided and when will construction start? We are asking that NO further changes be made to any surrounding parcels until the Bella Citta Extension is complete. This will dramatically reduce congestion in the area as well as limit our CDD costs for road repair.
2. Has agreement been reached between the county and Reunion on the final plan for the Sinclair Road Extension? Does the county have funding in place to cover their portion? If there is no agreement, then we ask that no changes be made to current zoning or land use in the surrounding parcels until this is decided and construction is complete
3. The current owner is looking to change their comprehensive plan for the property to medium density to make it more marketable, but this makes no sense. There is a current house on the 1-acre parcel, and the 3-acre lot has a cell tower in the middle. With setback requirements, water retention requirements, and the property size it makes no viable sense for a multi-family project. We ask that this property remains at low density until a viable plan for development is submitted, and a new traffic study can be conducted based on that plan.
4. Traffic at the corner of Bella Citta and S Goodman, and on Masters Blvd especially during school drop-off and release makes it hazardous for Bella Trae residents to turn left out of either the main gate or the Promenades. Changing the land use to medium density without addressing current traffic volume on Masters Blvd would only make things worse and traffic more dangerous. Please, no changes until the current conditions can be alleviated.
Special thanks to Liz Allen and Regina Thomas for helping to put questions these together.
